Join students from around the world for an incredible program of creativity, activity & service in breath-taking Medellín. Meet and work together with fellow international school students of all nationalities to tackle issues such as environmental protection and sustainability in this once in a lifetime intercultural collaboration experience!

Over the last two decades, Medellín, as a city has transformed into one of the most sought after travel destinations declared the 2nd best place to visit worldwide in 2018 by The New York Times. The bustling city, incorporates industry and commerce whilst thriving in agriculture and creativity – making it an exciting destination for your next student trip.

While in Medellin, students will engage with the volunteer and charity projects which have regenerated Medellin’s urban landscape before heading into the stunning Rio Claro project to work collaboratively on reforestation and sustainability projects to protect Colombia’s unique and precious environment.

Engaging the International Baccalaureate’s 7 Learning Outcomes, CAS Trips introduces students to incredible new cultures whilst striving to develop conscientious young global citizens. Through our CAS Connect! students, parents and teachers can keep track of all the essential trip information in our easy-to-use online user portal.

Students will work collaboratively to tackle fascinating CAS projects and challenges to make a real difference to society and the environment. Working with local & international charities and NGOs, students will confront the UN’s SDGs with hands-on activities and exciting team challenges.

Accommodation

Medellín Spring 2018 visitors will be accommodated at a four-star eco-boutique hotel. With comfortable, airy rooms, the eco-hotel is surrounded by forest in the countryside – just a 20-minute-drive from Medellín city center. Amenities include ensuite rooms, a restaurant, large common area, hammocks, games room, terraces, garden and Wi-Fi. Please note that all dietary requirements can be catered for if specified in advance.

Visa information

The majority of the European countries, the United States of America and Canada do not require visas to enter Colombia. Please ensure that all students who require a visa have requested it before the departure. For more information please contact us or your local embassy.

For teachers

Although adult accompaniment is not obligatory, we welcome the participation of teachers. As educators and expedition leaders, we understand the stresses of organizing and traveling with students groups and that’s why we offer teachers FREE places! Limited spaces are available so apply today!
