Creativity, Activity, Service

As part of our CAS series, we explore Creativity, Activity and Service through individually focused days in Berlin.

Divided by war and united through regeneration, the German capital of Berlin is buzzing with innovation, making it the ideal city to discover the meaning of CAS.

We embark on a thrilling journey through the city’s inspirational design and street art scene, kayaking down the River Spree and gaining a unique insight into local charity efforts through art communities and Refugee Aid organisations.

Creativity, Activity, Service

  • Tempelhoff Field – We visit this former airport which has since been converted into the city’s most exciting community space. In co-operation with resident artists and designers.
  • Lunch
  • Street Art tour and workshop – Berlin is arguably the global capital of modern street art and we take a tour of the city’s street art hotspots, gaining a fascinating insight into this modern urban art movement. Following this, students will receive expert tuition from professional street artists and create their own design canvases.

  • Lunch
  • Refugee Aid focus group – Berlin, like many other German cities, has been flooded with refugees fleeing the Syrian conflict and seeking a better future. The challenge to aid and integrate them into German society is enormous.
